Guidance Notes

At first glance some of these forms look daunting! Don't despair this website includes copies of completed Event Management Plans and Risk Assessments from other events held in the Borough.

Don't have nightmares!

Preparing an Event Management Plan and the various Risk Assessments will help event organisers focus on aspects of their event which need extra attention to ensure the safety of those attending. Risk Assessments help minimise the potential for accidents at the events.

We've all heard the phrase "its health and safety gone mad!" and some, I am sure, will feel that all this form filling is totally unnecessary. You must remember however that as an Event Organiser you have a duty of care to maintain a safe environment for your visitors and must take reasonable steps to ensure that due consideration has been given to public safety.
